Over 600,000 container orders are initiated on the our platform each week, representing 27 percent of global ocean container trade.

The Lead Engineer Function is responsible for hands-on development of Inttra’s software applications. The Lead Engineer is one who collaborates with Architect to resolve high impact, challenging, engineering problems while continuously raising the standard of quality in our products and services in a full solutions-oriented SaaS environment. The ideal candidate must have expert level skills in object-oriented design, agile development, high volume message processing, Service Oriented Architecture deployed in the cloud (AWS) environment. He must have participated in a Sr. Technologists capacity the platform development projects that utilize AWS products and services such as SWF , SNS, SQS.

Responsibilities:
  • Involve in full software development life cycle:
    • TDD, BDD, design, documentation, deployment
  • Be active part of agile team:
    • Pairing, code review, scrum, sprint planning, reveal & retrospectives
  • Apply good technical practices:
    • Continuous integration, test automation, source code control and review
  • Provide diagnostic support and bug fixing for software applications
  • Perform and promote local refactoring when making changes
  • Contribute to addressing technical debt
  • Provide technical impact assessment
  • Communicate personal and team activities to those outside the team, e.g. blog posts, presentations, stakeholder demos
  • Promote and participate in technical and process improvements
Qualifications:
  • Experience in building large scale highly available Applications
  • Experience in building software platforms
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services products and concepts.
  • Expertise in Java/J2EE, Agile, Automation, continuous delivery, Restful services,
    • .NET knowledge is a plus
  • Jenkins, Automated Testing frameworks(AUT)
  • Working knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns
  • Experience in working with Relational Databases
  • Working knowledge of web services and other integration patterns
  • In-depth knowledge of state-of- the art engineering technical approaches
  • Design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain
  • Ability to work within agile process – scrums, sprints, reveals, groomings
  • Excellent analytical and strong communication skills
Education & Qualifications:
  • B.S. Computer Science/Engineer or equivalent computer-related education
  • M.S. a plus
  • Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience
